The Book Club Sessions in partnership with Khutsong Literary Club will be hosting another
session on September 26 from 12:00 to14:00 at the tennis court in Carletonville.

This month the theme is Culture vs Tradition. Last month they had a session talking about ‘’What is Ubuntu and why does anyone needs to have Ubuntu and how does Ubuntu plays a role in our South African languages’’.

This time they are exploring the languages and ethical groups in South Africa.

According to the organisers they have realized a common mistake when it comes to culture and tradition as some people confuse the two and some only take one of them into consideration and forget the other.

Culture and Tradition are different but dependent on each other because if Tradition stays the same there
wouldn’t be any changes.

“We live in different times and have experienced the same thing done differently and patriotism takes place towards sometimes the wrong direction,” expressed the organisers.

They would like to invite everyone to come in their cultural or traditional attire and be prepared to learn and engage.

Their sessions integrated Meta AI so that everyone can have the same information and have a chance to read the information for themselves by themselves or for their siblings/nephew’s/nieces or grandkids. They have invited various guests to help them explain what is Heritage and they are going to engage everyone to differentiate between Culture and Tradition.
