Armed thugs targeted a house in Letsatsing Village near East Driefontein on September 17.

Two friends were sitting in a car parked on Kagiso Street when a red Hyundai i20 abruptly stopped beside them.

Three criminals jumped out of the vehicle, and one drew a revolver, threatening the pair and ordering them to stay still.

The 42-year-old passenger seized the moment to escape, running into the house and locking the door behind him.

The attackers dragged the driver to the house and demanded that his friend come outside.

Despite the thugs firing a shot into the ground, the man inside refused to open the door.

The frustrated thugs marched the driver back to the vehicle, stole cash and a mobile phone from inside, and sped away from the scene.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the ordeal.
