A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured this morning when he was knocked off his bicycle at the Paul Smit and Turf Road intersection in Boksburg.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured this morning when he was knocked off his bicycle at the Paul Smit and Turf Road intersection in Boksburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 06h30, finding Provincial Services already in attendance.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a serious injury to his head, leaving him in a critical condition.
Paramedics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions. The man was thereafter transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further treatment.
It is understood that the man had been knocked off his bicycle by a taxi. The man was thrown into a rock garden, hitting his head.
The taxi driver was found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
