Many runners and walkers took on the five-kilometre challenge at Goldfields West Golf Club for the first time.
A total of 60 runners and walkers of all ages took up the challenge. As a bonus, instructors from Bear Fitness in Carletonville led a warm-up session before the start.
According to the organiser, Ockie Brits, Saturday’s run was arranged to test the track for the official Carletonville parkrun that is set to launch at the beginning of February.
If everything goes according to plan, there will be another pre-run in January.
