Three people injured in a taxi knock over at Carletonville

Three people, among them a four-year-old boy, were left injured following a taxi knock over on the R501 in Carletonville last night.

According to Ineke van Huyssteen of ER24 paramedics from this emergency service arrived at the scene shortly before 19:00.

Upon their arrival, an off duty medic, as well as a bystander, were found on the scene assisting the patients. Upon further assessment, it was found that the boy had sustained critical injuries. The woman and the man had both sustained moderate injuries.

ER24 paramedics treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital.

Once at the hospital, the little boy was airlifted by medical helicopter to Sunshine hospital for further medical care. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
