Day 1 of the KES Easter Festival delivered an impressive display of hockey as Parktown Boys’ High School faced off against Westville Boys’ High School.

The match began with intensity and determination from both sides, as they battled to open the scoring. Despite several promising moves, the first quarter ended goalless at 0–0, with both teams showing strong defensive organisation.

The momentum shifted in the second quarter, with Westville asserting their dominance and finding the back of the net twice to take control of the game.

Parktown showed resilience and continued to push forward in search of a way back, but were unable to convert their chances.

Westville remained composed throughout, combining a sharp attacking edge with disciplined defence and structured play. Their sustained pressure resulted in two more goals, sealing a comprehensive 4–0 victory.

It was a powerful statement from Westville on the opening day of the festival, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting tournament.
