[GALLERY + VIDEOS]: Owl House donates to Hotel Hope Ministries

Hotel Hope Ministries is a fully registered South African non-profit organisation established with the aim of ensuring that each and every child is brought up in a safe, happy and healthy home so that they can grow up and develop into responsible and positive adults.

THE Owl House Preschool donated clothes, toys, bottles, blankets, teddy bears, books and many other items to the Hotel Hope Ministries in Melville.

The donation took place at the school in Conroy Street. Parents collaborated with the school principal and staff to collect and buy items and goodies for the orphanage. The collection started back in January.

THANK YOU: Oliver Quambusch receives some of the goodie bags.

Oliver Quambusch from Hotel Hope Ministries was graced with songs sung by the owlets and a prayer. Thereafter, the children handed over the donations to Oliver and were treated to an Easter egg hunt. There was also a lucky raffle for the parents who contributed to the outreach for Hotel Hope.

HAPPY: Oliver Quambusch is happy to listen to the children singing.

Owner of The Owl House, Simone Hardy, spoke of the fun activities they had planned for the children. Apart from the hunt, there was also an egg and spoon race and other fun activities and games for the pre-schoolers.

HUNT: The pre-schoolers sit with their Easter eggs after the hunt.

“Although children are our main focus, we have a holistic approach to the problem of orphaned and abandoned children. We realise that we need to focus on the cause of the problem too and not only the symptoms.

SWEET: Simone Hardy with one of the little boys Oliver Quambusch brought from Hotel Hope.

So we have projects to focus on assisting mothers and fathers so that they can look after themselves and their children,” read the post on the Hotel Hope website.
