Brackenhurst community comes together for spooktacular Halloween Trick and Treat

The Alberton Bracken Community embraced the spirit of Halloween with a spectacular trick-and-treat event on November 4.

This year the Rugby World Cup sort of interfered with a couple of events planned for Halloween.

However, the organisers of the ever-popular Halloween trick-or-treat could not be perturbed and just moved their event and transformed the streets into a Halloween wonderland.

Rather late than never they say and the streets echoing with laughter as residents gathered for a spooktacular trick-and-treat event was proof that moving the event was a winner, again.

The festivities commenced with a lively gathering at the veld, where Taller Waller’s iconic orange vans, affectionately known as the Ghost Busters, stole the show. These creatively adorned vans took the lead, guiding the community through a delightful trail of decorated houses, initiating the Halloween revelry.

For those preferring a more leisurely pace, residents had the option to embark on their own trick-and-treat adventure, whether by foot or by vehicle, between 16:00 and 19:00. The flexibility allowed families to tailor the experience to their preferences, creating a Halloween celebration unique as each household.

Ensuring the safety and security of all participants, CPS Security diligently patrolled the area throughout the event. Car guards were also stationed to provide an added layer of protection, allowing residents to enjoy the festivities with peace of mind.

The community organisers expressed immense joy at witnessing the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by all participants. The effort put into costumes was described as nothing short of tremendous, contributing to the overall vibrant and festive atmosphere.

A heartfelt thank you was extended to all community members for their exceptional participation, which played a pivotal role in keeping the event both joyful and stress-free.
