Residents could do with a million

“I want to buy a house ...”

The CHRONICLE ventured into the community and asked citizens what they would do if they won a million Rand. Here’s what they had to say.

NANDOS SIKHAVELE: “With a million Rand I would want to open my own grocery store. Then I’d have access to free bread and chips every day.”
CLAIRE O’REILLY: “A million Rand might be enough – I’d start a very small holiday resort in Cuba. They have such a wonderful, vibrant culture there.”
OSCAR MASEKO: “I want to buy a house where my friends and I can hang out. Somewhere that is nice and peaceful and has a nice garden.”
JOHN MUSAKI: “I would take the money and buy a house. I’d buy somewhere nice like in Meyersdal or in Glenvista.”
