Advice for young people

Residents share their advice for young people.

THE CHRONICLE took the streets to ask older people what their advice for young people would be.

We share their advice.

PETRO PELSER: “My advice will be to pray for the right partner in life. Those who pray together, stay together.”
SUZETTE WOLMARANS: “Have faith. Ask God for guidance in every choice you make in your life and always be positive.”
HELENE SCHOOMBIE: “Love can change the world. Make sure that you show your friends and family that they are loved and cared for.”
EMANUEL OMUELE: “Believe in God. If you walk with Him, you will stop doing wrong things like drugs and murder.”
ALIE VAN DER WESTHUIZEN: “Just have faith my children. Always believe in yourself and in God. Always be humble and kind.”
JOHNNY COOPER: “Focus on your career. This will help you avoid distractions that could get you into trouble.”
STAFIE PELSER: “Do not rush into marriage. Pray for the right person and ask advice from role models.”
HENRIETTE PRETORIUS: “Live your life to the fullest, be kind to others and walk the path of life with the Lord.”
