Double, double toil and trouble

“It’s been another great Trick or Treat party, thanks to the GANSRA members who went all out to assist and all our sponsors.”

THE annual Trick or Treat Halloween street party was held on October 27 in Glenvista, organised by Ward 23 DA councillor, Sarah Wissler with assistance from Glenvista and New South Residents Association (GANSRA).

Roads were closed off to make the area secure for families who came along to enjoy all the fun. Children and adults alike dressed up in costumes and scary outfits.

“It’s been another great Trick or Treat party, thanks to the GANSRA members who went all out to assist and all our sponsors,” said Wissler. Part of the fun was when a fire engine from Turffontein Fire Station arrived, which was greatly enjoyed by the children. D&D Security was on hand to safeguard the event and ER24 was also there, donating water bottles.

Sponsors of prizes included Gold Reef City (theme park and movie tickets), Calisto’s (meal voucher), Mochachos Ridgeway (meal voucher), Café Bar Marshalltown (meal voucher), Tasko’s (sweets), Carlton butchery (wors), Pastelaria Princesa and Belem Bakery (bread rolls) and Allegiance properties (age group prizes).

As the sun was setting the witches, ghosts and ghouls came out.
