GALLERY: Art exhibition a huge success

“The accomplished art students are showing their artworks this evening and their ability to recognise art is wonderful.”

MARIST Brothers Linmeyer hosted the Whole School Art Exhibition: The Innocent Eye on the evening of October 15, with works from alumni guest artists and the Leeuwkop Prison Correctional Services Art Programme Artworks.

The exhibition also showcased primary school art, high school art and artworks from Severa Rech Cassarino’s extra-curricular art classes.

Guests were entertained by the primary school’s marimba band upon entrance to the media centre and drinks and snacks were on sale catered for by the schools’ World Challenge India Tour learners. Guests also had the opportunity to view the film club 12-hour challenge films.

Severa Rech Cassarino addressed the guests and learners, saying what a privilege it is to have such talented students at her art classes. “The accomplished art students are showing their artworks this evening and their ability to recognise art is wonderful. It’s great to be surrounded by so many artists under one roof. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing the paintings as much as they enjoyed painting them. Thank you to each and every one for joining us this evening.”

Marist Brothers Linmeyer would like to thank the parents and guardians, learners and their families for their support, without them the evening would not have been possible.
