THE Alberton Eisteddfod Gala Evening was held at Alberton Christian Academy on September 19. This year more than 25 000 entries were received.
Winners of the English section, who also attend drama classes at Colleen Vivian Studio, included, Amy Weinerlein 1st place (Grade 10 to 12), Leandri Buitendag 2nd place (Grade 10 to 12), Faye Knight 2nd place (Grade Eight to Nine), Keana Mendes 3rd place (Grade Eight to Nine) and Roxanne De Moura 2nd place (Grade Four to Five). Leandri also came 3rd in the Afrikaans section.
