11 injured in taxi and truck collision on the R82 in Kibler Park

Two of the 11 victims were left critically injured, according to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.

ELEVEN people were left injured this morning (April 20) after a taxi crashed into a truck on the R82 in Kibler Park.

Two of the 11 victims were left critically injured and according to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, the other nine people were left with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and there were no fatalities.

ER24 paramedics and other emergency services arrived on the scene around 7.35am and found the truck and taxi in the middle of the road. Several people were found lying or walking around on the scene.

“The patients were treated and the critically injured provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, one of the critically injured patients was airlifted by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter to a nearby hospital. The remaining patients were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals,” said Meiring.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
