The joy of spring for the Grade Sevens

The Grade Sevens are tasked with developing an idea into a money-making venture.

LEARNERS at Hartford College dressed up in the most colourful outfits to welcome spring on August 31.

The Grade Sevens shared in the fun, by hosting their Entrepreneurs Day market. Once a year all their learning in maths and economic management needs to be put into practice.

BUYING POWER: Kajal Naicker had lots of fun goodies to sell at her table. From the front: Mahomed Moosa, Akshar Vyas, Taskeen Shaikgnag, Isabella Vanner, Kaboentle Devenhuis and Katlego Tsatsi.

The Grade Sevens are tasked with developing an idea into a money-making venture. They purchase the required product, advertise to all the children at school and then ‘sell their socks off’.

HAVING FUN: Tisya Dhevalall and Mia Tatsis.

Once the selling is done, the accounting work starts in order to determine who made the most profit after all expenses have been deducted. Who will be the entrepreneur of this Grade Seven year?
