Stanford recognises exceptional teacher

Her utmost dedication towards motivating her learners to pursue lifelong learning has had a profound impact on me.

STANFORD University has recognised St Martin’s School’s science teacher, Saloshna Naidoo, for exceptional teaching.

They said her dedication as an educator has contributed to the future of the school’s learners and in particular, Kiara Nirghin, Google Science Fair winner and current student at Stanford.

Kiara had this to say: “Brad Henry once said: ‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instil a love of learning’. That is exactly how I feel about Mrs Naidoo. As soon as I walked into her class, I immediately felt welcomed into an environment of curiosity. Her utmost dedication towards motivating her learners to pursue lifelong learning has had a profound impact on me. At Stanford University, I will continue being inspired by the foundation she has set for me as an extraordinary teacher.”
