Mulbarton community forum, together with St Paul’s United Church Mulbarton, recently collected food, clothing, blankets and school stationery for the Krugersdorp flood disaster residents.

“We noticed that people suffered from the flood disaster and wanted to give back. “We then decided to reach out through our social media platforms and word of mouth to the southern suburb areas to seek for any donation they could bring us and the people responded,” said Mulbarton community forum member Bruce Strachan.

He said donated items were delivered to St Paul’s United Church in Mulbarton successfully, and they were forever grateful.

“Different people in the community came and donated.  “What happened to Krugersdorp was terrible and to see how people came forward to donate meant a lot to us.

“They were very supportive of our drive. “On January 3, we went to Roodepoort emergency services to deliver to the community and show them our support,” said Strachan.
