JOBURG 10K CITYRUN supports four Joburg-based charities
JOBURG 10K CITYRUN supports charities.
Forming part of SA’s premier road running series, the RUN YOUR CITY Series, the JOBURG 10K CITYRUN virtual edition that will take place on September 24 (National Heritage Day), encourages runners to support four iconic Joburg-based charities, the Reach For A Dream Foundation (RFAD), Cotlands, Johannesburg SPCA and Johannesburg Heritage Foundation.
Established in 1988, Reach For A Dream seeks to inspire hope and help children to believe in the power of dreams.
Cotlands is a registered non-profit early childhood development organisation with a rich heritage of 85 years of experience in serving young, vulnerable children.
Cotlands’ vision is to see children thrive in their pre-school years by increasing their access to play-based early learning opportunities.
The Johannesburg SPCA is an NPO that started operating in 1902 and is dependent on the kindness and support of individuals and companies.
The Johannesburg Heritage Foundation was established in 2012, emerging from the foundations laid by the Parktown and Westcliff Heritage Trust.
The foundation is dedicated to the exploration, documentation, protection and restoration of Johannesburg’s built heritage.
The race will take place between 05:00 and 12:00 over a distance of 10km. The runners have to choose their own location and route.
The entry fee is R225 per runner. Entries are open and will close on September 22.
