Thaba Eco Hotel hosts gardening lessons event

Thaba Eco Hotel, with Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve Association (KNRA), recently hosted an event where people were taught about gardening.

Attendees were given an opportunity to ask questions about gardening and learn more about the dos and don’ts when it comes to their own gardens.

The day started with a cup of coffee and an educational talk and then moved over to some hands-on work in the garden.

“We do events that are for interest for the public and collect money that will go straight to the KNR for doing maintenance of the nature reserve. We decided to do learn to grow your vegetable garden because it is a standard of living that is important to our lives,” said Christine Loukakis, committee member of KNRA.

The purpose of the event was to teach people how to grow their own vegetables and how they can take care of their gardens.

“This is our first event where we teach about gardening. It is a small one but anything big has to start small.”
