Daniel Rowland appeared in the Booysens Magistrate’s Court on May 23 for discharging a firearm in a restaurant located in Mulbarton. A patron of the restaurant was hit and she later died.
The case has been ongoing since the shooting happened in July 2021 and due to outstanding ballistic reports the case was postponed again.
The magistrate subpoenaed the commanding officer of the Ballistics lab in Pretoria to appear to explain why after almost a year, there is still no report available.
The case has been postponed till June 24 when a section 342a inquiry into the reason for all the delays in the case will also be held.
