Do not miss the 77th Gibson Marathon at Kliprivierberg Recreation centre
All finishers within the 12:00 cut-off will receive a medal.
Johannesburg Harriers AC is proud to present the 77th Jackie Gibson Marathon, the 10th Allan Ferguson Half Marathon, and a 10km run on March 19.
The race will take place at Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Kibler Park, with start times of 21.1km and 42.2km at 06:00 and 10km at 06:30 in commemoration of Jackie Gibson and his success in athletics.
All participants who finish before 12:00 will receive a medal. The race number will include a timing chip, and timing for the 21km and 42km events will be mat-to-mat. This is an essential Comrades Marathon qualifier or, if already qualified, excellent training preparation.
All online entrants who agree to their results being shared with Vitality will receive Discovery Vitality points.
Walkers are welcome on the half marathon only and cut-off times for the 21.1 and 42.2km will be strictly 12:00 and no marathon athlete will be allowed to do the second lap after 08:45. Event support will be withdrawn after this time and for your own safety request that you leave the route.
Entry fees: 42.2km is R300, 21.1km is R200, 10km is R130, 42.2km grand master is R200, 21.1km grandmasters is R120, and 10km grand master is R80.
