Johannesburg Water welcomes newly appointed Board of Directors

New members to bring unique expertise and knowledge to JW

Johannesburg Water (JW) announced and welcomed its new board of directors, effective from March 1.

Board meetings are held on a quarterly basis to assess JW’s performance. The directors are appointed and accountable to the shareholder, the City of Johannesburg.

Each of the members brings unique expertise and knowledge to the table, which JW will use extensively during their tenure.

JW is excited to have them on board in leading the entity to new heights and finding innovative solutions to the challenges being faced.

The newly appointed Board of Directors:

Front: Lunga Bernard, Phetole Modika, Molate Mashifane, Pamela Mabece, Gugulethu Phakathi (board chairperson), Zandile Meeleso, Zodwa Tlale (independent audit committee member) and Pholoso Matjele. Back: Kethabile Mabe (company secretary), Siyabonga Mthembu, Ntshaveni Mukwevho (MD), Kgaile Mogoye, Johan Koekemoer (financial director), Sandiso Mgengwana, Siphamandla Mnyani, Colleen Sambo (independent audit committee member). The two independent audit committee members and the company secretary are not board members.
