Enjoy the heat hiking on Melville Koppies

All income goes to maintain the Koppies.

The weather is hot but hiking on Melville Koppies gives you the chance to enjoy the heat in the wide grassland areas and then to cool down in the forest by the river where 60 year old white stinkwoods and river bushwillows provide deep shade.

If you’re not quite ready to try out the 8 km guided hike, get yourselves fit and self-guide yourselves at your own pace on the many trails that traverse the Koppies.

Don’t forget storytelling on the 2nd Sunday of the month (next one 8 Feb), last Sunday of the month guided 8km hike (next one 22 February).

Open every Sunday morning, 8-11.30am; adults R100, U18 R50, U5 free. (We are closed 1 February because of a big race at Marks Park) Secure parking at Marks Park, Judith Road. Security on the Koppies provided. All income goes to maintain the Koppies.
