Get ready Jozi, the SPAR Women’s Challenge entries are now open

The countdown has begun for one of Johannesburg’s most inspiring and impactful events... The SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi.

The SPAR Women’s Challenge Jozi is a highlight of the local sporting calendar, taking place on October 5 at Marks Park Sports Club in Emmarentia.

This iconic event brings together thousands of women who will walk or run the 5km or 10km routes in a powerful show of unity, resilience, and celebration. Whether you’re chasing a personal goal, or walking in solidarity with others, this is more than a race; it’s a call to action.

Entry fees are R180 for both the 5km and 10km events, or R240 for the 10km with a temporary ASA license. Each entry includes a high-quality moisture-management race shirt, your official race number, and the My Jozi Challenge Magazine, packed with information on the race, ambassadors, and the worthy causes it supports.

Once you cross the finish line, you’ll receive the much-loved SPAR Women’s Challenge goodie bag, filled with surprises and treats to celebrate your achievement.

By entering, you also stand a chance to win a brand-new Hyundai Exter, with plenty of other prizes, activations, and live entertainment to look forward to on the day.

Most importantly, your participation helps support real and lasting change, with proceeds going to organisations that assist breast cancer patients, combat gender-based violence, and help to end period poverty.

“At SPAR, we believe in the strength and potential of women, and we are committed to building platforms that celebrate, support, and uplift them,” says Maxine D’Amico, inland promotions and advertising manager. “The SPAR Women’s Challenge is one such platform. It’s not just about running or walking; it’s about showing up for one another and making a difference in our communities.”
