Judgment delayed in Amber Lee Hughes murder and rape trial

Johannesburg High Court postpones verdict to July 17 as defence advocate is absent.

June 19 was supposed to be the judgment day for murder and rape accused Amber Lee Hughes; however, the case was postponed to July 17 at the Johannesburg High Court.

State Advocate Rolene Barnard had a stand-in while defence advocate Michelle Ives was not present.

The date had been arranged in advance by the two advocates and Judge Richard Mkhabela.
