Job seeker caught with fake documents at Fox Security in Meyersdal

The suspect was arrested on-site after Fox Security’s clearance process uncovered multiple fraudulent documents, including a fake ID.

A suspect was apprehended at the Fox Security headquarters in Meyersdal, Alberton, after trying to secure a job using fraudulent documents.

The company’s internal clearance process uncovered discrepancies in the paperwork submitted by the individual.

Donavan du Toit, a Fox Security officer, commented on the incident, “The individual was handed over to the provincial SAPS. They were found with multiple fake documents, including a counterfeit ID. The SAPS and the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) will provide us with updates on the case, which we will share once received,” he said.

A serious offence

Upon discovering the fraudulent documentation, Fox Security promptly notified the police and the PSIRA. The suspect was arrested on-site, reflecting the company’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the security sector.

Fox Security views such offences seriously, acknowledging the potential dangers fraudulent documents pose to the industry. The company is actively implementing measures to prevent similar incidents.
