Addresses verified for 4 suspects in South Hills murder case

One suspect seeks legal aid.

The four suspects in the murder case in South Hills appeared at Booysens Magistrate’s Court on September 15.

Their addresses were verified, and the court postponed the case to September 25 for a bail application. Accused 1, 2, and 4 had their defence, while accused 3 applied for legal aid.

They are in court on charges of murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, and possession of drugs.

Their first court appearance was on September 1, following a fatal shooting near the Moffat View Police Station.

The SAPS arrested the four men in a block of flats on Arlington Street, South Hills, on August 29.

A 63-year-old man was shot nine times in the head on the corner of Henderson and Anwin roads.
