SAPS Mondeor event focuses on child safety and road awareness

SAPS Mondeor's transformative event at Eikenhof Lerato Creche grounds went beyond addressing child abuse and road safety to empower future leaders by focusing on early childhood development.

SAPS Mondeor, in collaboration with various stakeholders, organised an impactful event on October 25 at Eikenhof Lerato Creche grounds.

According to Sergeant Sibongile Mnguni, social crime prevention coordinator, the objective of the event was to instill a strong sense of safety consciousness among the youth.

“Through engaging and informative sessions, children were educated on different forms of abuse and equipped with essential road safety tips, laying the foundation for a safer and more secure community.

“This year, we are spotlighting early childhood development, aiming to mould and equip our future leaders. Additionally, we seize the opportunity to address the critical issue of child abuse, thereby identifying signs of abuse and understanding the proper reporting procedures,” said Mnguni.
