Marist Brothers High School welcomes Grade Eights with a ceremony

The ceremony marked the learners’ start of an exciting academic journey.

To officially welcome the Grade Eights into the high school family, Marist Brothers Linmeyer High School held its ringing-in ceremony.

The event marked a significant milestone as each Grade Eight learner rang the Bell of Hope, symbolising their official induction into the institution.

The symbolic act of ringing the Bell of Hope signifies the start of their high school journey, with a promise to ring it again after completing their matric final exams in four years.

A touching moment unfolded as each learner lit a candle, was handed their official name badge and received a blessing from father Tshepo Duik. The ringing of the bell followed.

In adherence to Marist tradition, the Grade Eight learners and the entire high school united in singing the school war cry, fostering a sense of unity and serving as a sense of belonging to the Grade Eights.
