Place of Purpose opens new premises in Raceview

Place of Purpose celebrated its third anniversary in style as it opened its new premises in Alberton.

In celebration of its third anniversary, Place of Purpose celebrated the day with the opening of its new property located in Alberton at 6 Rhanleigh Street, Raceview.

Place of Purpose opened its new premises with a ribbon cutting on May 2 with the directors, parents and learners of the school gathering to celebrate this special moment.

“Sometimes in life, there’s just strong people who surround every vision and that’s what we have at Place of Purpose. We have strong parents, a board, a school of transformation, and many other people who stand behind us. Behind Place of Purpose, we have solid people,” said Gwen Mckechnie, director of Place of Purpose.

Place of Purpose directors: Tania Meyer, Johan Meyer, Robert Aitchison, Gwen Mckechnie, Eric Mckechnie, Vanessa Meyer and Shaun Meyer.

Mackechnie thanked parents, board members, and everyone who contributed from gate motors to cameras, cleaning up the place, and for the time they spent making sure that everything and up and running at the school.

“A big thank you to our directors who renovated the house in six weeks. We praise God for that.”

Place of Purpose held its ribbon-cutting ceremony to open its new premises.

Since its inception, Place of Purpose has empowered individuals and improved their quality of life by enhancing their personal and social well-being, daily living skills, and employment abilities.

The organisation’s goal is to empower them to live productive, worthwhile lives by helping them to grow and learn.

Place of Purpose is a non-profit special needs college that strives to improve the lives of intellectually impaired and learning-challenged young adults aged 16 and above by offering a secure and supportive learning environment.
