Expect water supply interruption

Rand Water will do 56-hour maintenance work on its G20 pipeline from October 3 to 6, affecting some of Johannesburg Water’s Central and Soweto regions.

This work will allow City Power to continue constructing an alternative power supply from its Mondeor Substation to Rand Water’s Eikenhof Pumping Station.

A section of the bulk supplier’s G20 pipeline will be re-routed to tie into a recently diverted 900mm main at the Mondeor Substation.

These Johannesburg Water systems and areas will be affected: Central region: Winchester Hills, Winchester Hills Exts 1 and 2, Gillview, Mondeor, Suideroord, Glenanda, Meredale and Meredale Ext 25.
