St Martin’s High School congratulates its newly elected prefects
Emphasizing leadership, accountability, and school pride, the newly elected prefects are ready to lead their fellow learners and serve as ambassadors for the school in the upcoming year.
St Martin’s High School proudly gathered learners and staff for a special ceremony to announce the 2025 prefects, marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership within the school community.
This annual event serves as a reminder of the weighty responsibility that comes with being chosen as a prefect, learners who will embody and uphold the core values of St Martin’s: dedication, faith and service.
The newly appointed prefects are called to lead with integrity and humility, setting an example for their peers and fostering an environment of respect, unity and growth.
Headmaster Warren Venter highlighted: “The prefects will serve as role models, inspiring their fellow learners and contributing to the school’s mission of excellence in both academics and character development.”
The prefects are head of arts and culture – Tiara Sana, head of marketing communications and community engagement – Cayden Atti, head girl, head of student affairs – Khumo Tyuwa, head boy, head of sports – Hadi Khalife, head of school spirit and traditions – Katleho Manganye and head of chapel – João Veloso.
“Their leadership will be rooted in the spirit of servant leadership, putting the needs of others first and uplifting our school community through thoughtful actions and selfless dedication,” emphasized Venter.
