Kibler Park Scouts celebrate with a swimming gala
The event was a splash of excitement, highlighting the scouts' hard work and dedication throughout the year.
This year 1st Kibler Park hosted a swimming gala for their awards ceremony but before they hopped into the water they started with their annual awards ceremony.
The highlight of the day came before the water fun when the Scouts gathered for their long-awaited awards ceremony.
This year’s ceremony was particularly special as the 1st Kibler Park troop celebrated a significant milestone: the awarding of the prestigious Springbok Award to Karinah Chengalaryan.

The Springbok Award, earned by less than 1% of Scouts, is the highest honour a Scout can achieve, requiring a demonstration of exceptional leadership abilities and the successful resolution of real-life challenges.
Karinah’s accomplishment marked a historic moment for the troop, as it was the first time a Springbok Award had been awarded to a member of 1st Kibler Park since the late 1990s.
The swimming gala was a fun-filled blend of celebration and camaraderie, as the Scouts took to the water to compete in egg and spoon races, relays, and other stroke races.

All in all the ceremony and swimming gala was an exciting day, as Scouts of all ages participated in the friendly competitions and celebrated each other’s successes.
The spokesperson of the Scouts shared: “It was a day to remember, filled with recognition and the spirit of community that defines the scouting movement.”
The 1st Kibler Park Scouts continue to inspire, showing that hard work, leadership, and teamwork lead to the most rewarding achievements.
