City Power announces scheduled outages for Joburg south

Customers are hereby notified of a planned power interruption at Central A Substation which is scheduled for June 29.

The interruption will take place from 07:00 until 15:00 affecting the following areas:

• Selby

• Central CBD

Another planned power interruption at Mulbarton Substation is scheduled for June 26.

The interruption will take place from 08:00 until 16:00 affecting the following areas:

• Mulbarton

• Bassonia

• Glenvista

• Golf Course

• Aspen lake drive

• Gleneagle

• Mall of the South 1 and 2

• Star

• Glenvista Ext 3,4,5,6 and 8

• Mulbarton Ext 1, 2, 3, and 4

• Aspen Hills

• Glenanda

• Aspen Hills Ext 1, 2 and 3

There will be another planned power interruption at Mulbarton Substation which is scheduled for June 27.

The interruption will take place from 08:00 until 16:00 affecting the following areas:

• Belwin

• Voster

• Panorama

• Glen South

• Liefde en Vrede South

• Bassonia Ext 6/11, 1 and 2

• Liefde en Vrede West

City Power said the interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on their network which is part of their programme of constantly striving to provide a better service.

As the supply may be restored at any time, customers are urged to always treat their electricity supply points as live.
