UJ recognises Hoërskool President’s dedication to preparing learners for university
The school is honoured to be one of Gauteng’s top feeder schools, celebrating outstanding results despite large matric classes.
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) awarded Hoërskool President High School a certificate for its status as a top-10 feeder school in Gauteng.
The exact criteria were never disclosed, but the recognition is believed to consider factors like the number of Bachelor’s passes and UJ applications at the school.
This achievement reflects the school’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing learners for higher education.
Principal Quentin de Lange said, “This award is a testament to the hard work of our learners and staff. It shows that even with large cohorts, such as the 423 candidates last year and 426 this year, we deliver outstanding results. We focus on the quality and the quantity of education, ensuring every learner is prepared for their future.”
The school is determined to maintain this standard. “We aim to enhance our education quality. Our goal is to nurture learners who are academically prepared and equipped for success in their future studies and careers,” the principal said.
This recognition was a proud moment for the school community, which celebrates its success in preparing learners for the future.
