Stepping Stone Hospice is inviting the community to gather in remembrance and celebration at its annual tree-lighting ceremony on November 28.

The event will take place at the organisation’s Children’s Unit at 14 Glen Albyn Street, Raceview, Alberton, beginning at 17:30.

The ceremony aims to honour and remember loved ones who have passed away, while also celebrating life.
For Stepping Stone Hospice, the illuminated tree stands as a beacon of hope, strength, and unity for all those impacted by loss.

Community members are welcome to join the evening of reflection and togetherness, with secure parking available on-site.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or camping chairs, and refreshments will be on sale.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, the Alberton Mannekoor, Dameskoor, and Harmonia Girls Choir will deliver musical performances throughout the event.

Those looking to pay tribute to someone special can purchase a virtual globe with a personalised message.

These heartfelt messages can be viewed and shared with family and friends at any time, and proceeds from globe sales will support Stepping Stone Hospice’s patients and their families.

To buy a globe, WhatsApp Tess Arthur on 083 290 7562.
