WATCH: St. Patrick’s Church serves hot meal for the needy

Despite unfavourable weather huge crowd turned out.

Gloomy weather did not deter St Patrick’s Church in La Rochelle from feeding the poor and needy on November 16.

Deacon Walter Middleton said that although they were planning to feed up to 350 people, owing to the rain, about 275 pitched up.

They were treated with chicken curry, pap, rice, beans, cake, custard, salad, a drink and an apple. He said they thoroughly enjoyed the food. “They came in dribs and drabs. God is good as everything went well,” he said.
