Tech innovations and career opportunities highlighted at youth expo.
The Youth Tech Expo 2025, hosted by the Gauteng Department of e-Government, took place on November 20, at Laerskool Danie Theron in Kibler Park.
The event was a dynamic showcase of technology, innovation, and career opportunities for the youth.
Attendees experienced a range of activities, including exhibitions, demonstrations, skills development sessions, networking opportunities, job and internship opportunities, and insights into crime-fighting technologies.
The event also offered free public Wi-Fi and digital services for youth to explore and apply for opportunities that were on offer.

The Youth Tech Expo 2025 catered to youth seeking careers in ICT and digital innovation, community leaders and organisations interested in digital transformation, and students eager to learn about tech trends. The event aligned with the Gauteng Province’s initiative GGT2030: Growing Gauteng Together.
The Gauteng Department of e-Government has outlined its strategic focus on digitising government services, enhancing connectivity, and leveraging technology to support various initiatives.
e-Gov MEC Bonginkosi Dhlamini addressed the young attendees and instead of speaking, he let the audience ask him questions.

“Instead of a long speech, I want to engage with our youthful audience. You can ask questions about anything you want to know. We are here to empower you young people through e-gov opportunities,” said Dhlamini.
“We are committed to bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all citizens have access to quality government services” Dhlamini said.
