Grade One learners at Waterstone College were filled with excitement as they began their first year at school.

The three classes, Grade One A, B, and C, were already busy with activities and schoolwork as they aimed to hit the ground running.

The young learners looked neat in their school uniforms. Each student made sure he of she wore their new uniform with pride.

A Grade One learner, Aaron Sekathu, spoke about finally starting school.

“I was in Grade R last year, and it was fun. Now I am in Grade One, and I’m ready to learn about everything,” he said.
