The tide is turning: A 90-day call to prayer for the nation
If every hourly prayer slot is filled, the country will be covered in round-the-clock prayer, calling on God to intervene, heal, restore, and bring transformation. Organisers describe it as “a final push to turn the tide”.
Father’s Heart has launched a bold national initiative titled The Tide Is Turning – a 90 Day Prayer Movement, which was rolled out on February 1.
The vision is simple yet powerful: unite believers across South Africa in continuous, 24-hour prayer for 90 consecutive days, trusting God for a decisive shift in the nation.
How it works
Individuals, families, churches, prayer groups, and networks can book one or more hourly prayer slots over the 90-day period via an online calendar.
When all slots are filled, South Africa will be covered in continuous 24/7 prayer.
Daily prayer points will be made available on the website, focusing on national leadership, families, communities, moral restoration, and spiritual renewal.
Participants are encouraged to fill open slots, particularly those marked as uncovered, to turn the entire calendar green, symbolising full national prayer coverage. The more prayer covers, the greater the spiritual impact.
More than a movement
The 90 Day Prayer Movement forms part of the broader vision of Father’s Heart: restoring lives, strengthening families, and equipping believers to live out their faith boldly and practically.
Alongside this initiative is GI Academy, the organisation’s training arm. GI Academy provides structured biblical courses designed to build strong foundations, spiritual maturity, and leadership capacity within churches and communities.
While the Prayer Movement focuses on national intercession, GI Academy focuses on long-term discipleship and equipping.
Together, Father’s Heart, the 90 Day Prayer Movement, and GI Academy form a unified mission – prayer, training, and transformation working hand in hand.
The message is clear:
Together we pray.
Together we believe.
Together, we see the tide turning.
Community members who would like to participate can book a prayer slot online and be part of what organisers believe could become a historic season of united national prayer.
