City Power announces power outage affecting multiple Joburg south suburbs
Ward Councilor alerts residents to electricity disruption in 13 areas.
Ward 56 councillor Michael Crichton issued an update on a Reuven SDC electricity outage on March 31.
The outage is affecting customers in numerous suburbs due to an issue at the Prospect Substation (Wemmer Feeder).
The affected areas include Turffontein, Regents Park, Haddon, Springfield, Oakdene, South Hills, Kliprivierberg, City Deep, Towerby, Tulisa Park, Rosettenville, Townsview, Moffatview, Lynmeyer, La Rochelle, Kenilworth Glenesk and surrounding neighbourhoods.
City Power’s team has been notified and dispatched to investigate the cause of the outage. Further details will be confirmed in subsequent updates, and the utility apologises for the inconvenience caused.
