UPDATE: Missing Oakdene teen found safe after weeks of searching
Nineteen-year-old Lewin Geldart, who had been missing since early March, was successfully found, with his family thanking the community and the Comaro Chronicle for their support.
The search for 19-year-old Lewin Geldart has come to a positive end after he was successfully found on April 8, bringing relief to his family and the community.
Lewin, who had been missing since early March, was last seen near The Glen Shopping Centre in Oakdene. His disappearance sparked concern among loved ones and residents, with the community urged to assist in locating him.
Community effort plays key role
Following weeks of uncertainty and ongoing search efforts, confirmation of his safe return was shared by Jackie Thomas.
“Thank you for all your help and support from the newspaper, and a big thank you to the community for all their help as well, it truly means a lot to the family,” she said.
During the search, the family had followed up on multiple leads, distributed pamphlets and worked with local security and community members in an effort to trace his whereabouts.
Relief after weeks of worry
Geldart’s disappearance had raised concern due to his medical condition, with family previously noting that he suffers from epilepsy and an undiagnosed mental disorder.
His safe return has now brought much-needed relief after weeks of worry and uncertainty.
The family has expressed gratitude to everyone who played a role in helping bring him home safely.
