I am a 32-year-old mother of three and one of the important lessons I can take from this article is that it’s important to build a strong relationship with your children so that they feel secure in their own home, because they might end up running away and end up on the streets.
It is so easy to judge when we pass these girls on the streets forgetting that just like the rest of us, they didn’t grow up wanting to be prostitutes, but its circumstances that push them into it. I must say I am impressed that she doesn’t do drugs and still manages to send money back home for her daughter. I’m really saddened by her circumstance and hope she finds something decent to get her out off the streets. A lot of work still needs to be done regarding sex workers and street kids and integrating them into society.
