Urgent attention needed for Columbine Avenue

Councillor Dos Santos needs to give this issue his urgent attention, either traffic lights or speed humps need to be erected soonest.

As a resident living adjacent to Columbine Avenue, I can attest to the increase in the volume of accidents in recent months along this strip of road.

Motorists do not abide by the rules of the road. Columbine Avenue is a speed way for all motorists of all ages from Friday to Sunday of the week. Furthermore, the number of motorists who drink and drive within the area is simply unacceptable, this is evident on Sundays if you travel the roads adjacent to Columbine Avenue, Endymion Road, Enyham Road, Mondeor Drive etc.

There are a number of crèches located along Columbine Avenue eg, Maylil Nursery School and Little Leaders, etc.

Councillor Dos Santos needs to give this issue his urgent attention, either traffic lights or speed humps need to be erected soonest. We can ill afford for any other pedestrians or innocent children being the victims of speedsters.
