IT’S come to the attention of the Comaro CHRONICLE, créche’s are being targeted by criminals as they ask to see the premises in the pretence of enrolling a child.
A crèche owner said, “I let two prospective parents and their child in to see the nursery, and they filled in the forms. I do actually have their names if they are legitimate. As soon as they had left I went to use my cellphone and it was gone,” the woman said. According to the woman, she said it’s apparently happened to a few other crèche owners she knows.
“I think people need to be very aware about who they admit into their properties. I know as a créche owner, you obviously have to see new prospective parents, but next time I’ll make sure to lock away any valuables before seeing anyone, just in case,” she added.
