Dawn Roddick, The Hill: Thank you councillor Rashieda Landis

"I take this opportunity to thank Rashieda for her personable and professional intervention."

After two long years of telephone calls, visits and emails to resolve a situation with my utilities account with the City of Johannesburg, I have finally received acknowledgement of the predicament solely due to the intervention of councillor Rashieda Landis.

Rashieda emphasised the points at hand and requested a solution which is now finally being considered. My praise of her is unprecedented and I applaud her for her efficient and effective action.

Some time ago, I sought help on behalf of an 87-year-old lady who was in receipt of a R237 000 account and having approached dozens of people in the council for assistance, Rashieda managed to sort the account out.

With so many issues prevalent at the council, I am compelled to make mention of someone who is so dedicated to assisting the public to find solutions.

I take this opportunity to thank Rashieda for her personable and professional intervention.
