Pit Bull members show their power at Four Nations

Pit Bull Gymnasium was represented by several lifters.

THE Global Powerlifting Committee hosted its Four Nations Annual Push and Pull competition on November 30.

Countries included in the meeting were Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa, for a total of 289 participating athletes.

Pit Bull Gymnasium was represented by several lifters, including World Powerlifting Champion (WPC) 2019 Kobus Bester, Master One, u-90kg, equipped.

The Pit Bull team results were as follows:

• Lizette Bester: South Africa: first place – women open division – age 13, squat 85kg, bench 45kg and dead lift 115kg; Four Nations: placed 14th position

• Abigajil Kirchner: South Africa: second place – women open division – age 17, squat 80kg, bench 47.5kg and dead lift 115kg; Four Nations: placed 11th position

• Wernher Bester: South Africa: second place – male open division – age 17, squat 125kg, bench 70kg and dead lift 180kg; Four Nations: placed 38th position

• Coach Kobus Bester: South Africa: first place – male open division – age 41, squat 220kg, bench 155kg and deadlift 245kg (equipped); Four Nations: placed fifth position

• Armand Visser: South Africa: second place – male open division – age 23, squat 200kg, bench 127.5kg and dead lift 230kg; Four Nations: placed 13th position

• Coach Colin du Bruyn: South Africa: fourth place – male open division – age 43, squat 210kg, bench 167.5kg and dead lift 230kg; Four Nations: placed 20th position

• Yolandie van den Berg: South Africa: fourth place – women open division – age 29, squat 40kg, bench 32.5kg and dead lift 70kg; Four Nations: placed 21st position

• Melissa Stander: South Africa: third place – women open division – age 23, squat 77.5kg, bench 47.5kg and dead lift 105kg; Four Nations: placed 20th position

• Natasha Stander: South Africa: first place – women open division – age 29, squat 100kg, bench 50kg and dead lift 145kg; Four Nations: placed sixth position

• Karl Dreyer: South Africa: fourth place – male open division – age 23, squat 160kg, bench 100kg and dead lift 200kg; Four Nations: placed 26th position

• Randolph Bock: South Africa: fifth place – male open division – age 23, squat 175kg, bench 100kg and dead lift 210kg; Four Nations: placed 27th position.

Pit Bull Gymnasium will be hosting sanctioned RPC powerlifting meets in the South of Johannesburg after a hiatus of 32 years.
