Jozi runners invited to take on the Absa RUN YOUR CITY WARM UP RUN

The Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K returns to the City of Gold on National Heritage Day, September 24, to build excitement and prepare for event day.

Jozi runners are invited to join a fun weekly 5K PUMA NITRO Demo Run with the first demo run starting at 08:00 at the Kibler Park Recreation Centre on August 27.

“By joining the 5K PUMA NITRO Demo Run Jozi runners will get the unique opportunity to ‘wear test’ PUMA’s newest range of PUMA NITRO running shoes,” said Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports and founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. “Runners can look forward to catching up with old friends while testing their fitness in the build-up to the 5th annual Absa RUN YOUR CITY JOBURG 10K. Whether you race it or enjoy it at a leisurely pace, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic morning with like-minded individuals at the 5K PUMA NITRO Demo Run.”

The demo run is open to runners of all ages and is free of charge. The only prerequisites are that you sign up and ‘bring the gees’. Once your run is completed, stick around for the lucky draw.

Runners who complete the 5K PUMA NITRO Demo Run stand a chance to win a PUMA hamper to the value of R5 000, a pair of PUMA NITRO running shoes and a selection of PUMA lucky draw prizes.

To be eligible to be entered into the lucky draw on the morning of the 5K PUMA NITRO Demo Run, participants must complete the 5km run, collect, fill out and hand in a lucky draw ticket and be present at the time that the lucky draw takes place.
