SOJO’s annual golf day drives change
Golf enthusiasts came together for a day of swings and generosity at the annual charity golf day, raising funds.
SOJO Business and Tourism hosted its annual charity golf day on October 25 at Glenvista Country Club.
The golf day was held for a noble cause, and the funds collected will support the sustainable charitable projects managed by SOJO Helping Hands Foundation.
The event featured 22 four-balls (four golfers per team) which amounted to 88 golfers.
CEO of SOJO Business and Tourism shared: “One of the highlights of the day was the participation of the south of Joburg businesses. We are grateful to everyone who participated in the day and the 30 prize sponsors.
“SOJO working together for a better Joburg South community and SOJO Helping Hands Foundation aims to transform the lives of the most vulnerable in Johannesburg south.”
This ties in with their four pillars which are a sustainable environment, youth engagement, education and training and enterprise development.
The main sponsor of the event was Gold Reef City, and Mall of the South donated R5 000 to the SOJO Helping Hands Foundation.
The event not only celebrated the spirit of the sport but also highlighted the community’s dedication to making a positive impact.
As the final putts were made, the golf day stood as a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion in driving meaningful change.
