Great atmosphere at the cancer fundraiser.
Ridge Park Sports Club in conjunction with Living Waters of Hope hosted a memorable evening to raise funds for Elmari Fernandes, a cancer patient, on March 27.
Elmari is the wife of Richard Fernandes, the son of the top international boxing trainer, Manny Fernandes.
The night was graced by the two-division IBO World Champion, Ricardo Malajika and his brother who is the WBA Pan African Champion, Charlton Malajika.

The audience enjoyed scrumptious three-course meal while there was showcasing of highlights from the latest fights of the Malajika’s brothers.
Guests also had an opportunity to engage with the special guests where a wonderful atmosphere was created while supporting a good cause.
Manny gave both fighters the opportunity to tell their story from upbringing to the world stage.

Their former teacher at Diversity High School, Shiko Thantsha congratulated them and emphasised that discipline brought them where they are today.
There was also an auction conducted by Andy Meintjes where some of the items including signed gloves by the champions were on sale. Manny thanked everyone who supported the event.
